Don’t Underpay Yourself, Just to Be An “Entrepreneur”.
Entrepreneurs make some serious sacrifices towards the development of their business especially those of in a full-time entrepreneurial position. However, while understanding that we are on a journey, we also need to understand that, that journey in the development of the business has a role to play in our life and livelihood. From my experience and that of others, I've seen entrepreneurs scale back their lifestyle to fit the business. While that is good at the start, if you have been doing it for several years and not seeing growth then there are a couple of things to consider. 1) Are you running the business the right way? 2) Is the business viable? 3) Are you charging the right price? 4) Does the business make sense? 5) Are you the right person for your business? Remember, we did not get into business just to say we are in business. Your business is supposed to support you, your family, lifestyle and itself. In this video, I address this from my experience and from what I've seen with fellow entrepreneurs. Let's make our business work for us, hope this connects with some of you. #entrepreneurship #business

Discussing the Business Model Canvas
As we move towards the last quarter of 2020 many entrepreneurs, startups and companies are left with a lot to think about. The pandemic has also added another layer of concern to the health and life of many businesses in Trinidad & Tobago and the Caribean region. It’s said that the “The problems we face cannot be solved at the same level of thinking when they were first created or encountered” That's why I felt it was important to have this session speak specifically on the business model canvas by of Alexander Osterwalder as it's one of the simplest and best models to help companies prepare for the last quarter of 2020 and the new year. In the comments, I'll be referencing three resources that you can use to get clarity on your new way forward. Have a great week, ahead.
WIX + HUBSPOT INTEGRATION
In this video, we are showing you how to connect your WIX website to your HubSpot account. ———————————- One of the first things any new HubSpot user needs to do is connect his CMS/website to their HubSpot account. Why is that important? Because you get a better appreciation of your customer behaviours when visiting your site and to see which prospects have visited your site but not yet reached out to connect with you. It’s all about data! The data received from this integration helps both your sales and marketing teams to make better decisions on content creation and strategic sales approaches to customers. Are you a HubSpot and WIX user? Do you have this integration set up? Let’s me know how this integration has benefited you or watch this video to learn how. Are B2B Companies Giving B2B Experience?
"The right-hand does not know what the left hand is doing" Have you heard that phrase before? Have you also worked within or received service from an organisation where the teams seem unaware as to what the other team is doing? That's sometimes the nature of some B2B entities within Trinidad & Tobago. Sometimes that the larger the organisation, the more disjointed they seem between marketing, sales and service. While some companies do their best to stay connected internally, from an external standpoint the customer can feel like they are dealing with two or three different companies or organisational personalities. Marketing and sales are the good guys and after-sales are the bad guys. This can have a severe effect on an organisation overall customer experience and by extension their business growth. How can this be fixed? That's what I discuss here in this video.
Making sales KPIs easier to manage In HubSpot CRM
Building & Managing Sales KPIs In HubSpot CRM The above line is one that I learned in my days as a sales professional, more so when I moved up through the ranks as a Manager/Team Lead, etc. Knowing your numbers is an integral part of your sales performance. However, it's not always the most well-managed part of sales between both the sales professional and management. Also, while there are some companies that have systems in place, some of these systems are more finance-based or support management more than the sales professional. In this video, I give the example of how you can take your written KPIs and bring them into a CRM (in this case HubSpot) and I explain how much it helps the team, management, HR, etc. - How are you KPI's Managed? - Are you using a CRM? Let me know in the comments.
Being Creative & Strategic In Prospecting
Let's face it, prospecting is sometimes not the first or most consistent sales activity to get done by sales professionals. Why? Because it's seen as a laborious task. This was a challenge I and many other sales managers have with their teams. However, as sales managers, our role is to support the team so there are ways we can be creative & resourceful in our thinking to help the team identify opportunities/leads for our team. Here is an example of how I got my guys to identify 700 leads and how it gave us the ability to be more focused in our prospecting in the months that came. P.S. There were some additional benefits that happened as well, but I'll share that in another video or blog. Question: What have been some of your strategies in identifying new leads or to get your team going?

Like everything else, the key to achieving anything starts with proper management. While there may be many ways to managing your sales pipeline it's my strongest recommendation to look into a CRM.
